    Small macromolecular oxidized kraft lignin is a water soluble low molecular weight (2000-3000 g/mol), highly functionalized anionic (charge density of -1.0 ~ -2.2 meq/g) lignin-based macromolecules.

  • Sulfobutylated kraft lignin

    Sulfobutylated kraft lignin is an anionic lignin-based macromolecules that has sulfobutylated group attached to its aliphatic and phenolic group. It is a water soluble material with the charge density of -1.5~ -2.3 meq/g and molecular weight of 4200-6200 g/mol, respectively.

    Sulfohydroxypropylated kraft lignin is an anionic material that has a sulfonated hydroxypropyl group attached to its phenolic group. It is a high water soluble material with the charge density of -2.5 ~ -3.3 meq/g and molecular weight of and 4000-6000 g/mol, respectively.

    Sulfohydroxypropylated kraft lignin -glycidyl-trimethylammonium chloride is an amphoteric lignin based polymer.  It contains sulfonate groups (0.8-1.5 mmol/g) and quaternary-ammonium groups (1.5-2.1 mmol/g).

It has a charge density of -1.0 ~ -1.2 meq/g with high solubility in water and across pH range. Its molecular weight is around 4000-8000 g/mol.

    The sulfophenolated kraft lignin is a phenolated enriched kraft lignin that has a sulfonate group attached to the ortho position of phenolic groups. It has a charge density of -1.5 ~ -3.1 meq/g with partial solublity in water. Its molecular weight is in the range of 4000-8000 g/mol.
